Pangburn currently employs over 50 people dedicated to nonqualified benefit plan recordkeeping, software development, and support. Below are brief biographical sketches of Pangburn’s corporate officers and management team.

Officers
Brian E. Pangburn, Ph.D.
Principal & Chief Executive Officer
Brian received his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Tulane University in 1994. He joined the doctoral program at Louisiana State University in 1994, and received his master of science degree in system science in 1999. He received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in computer science in 2002, where his research involved developing a computational model of human language acquisition.
From 1991 to 1994, Brian developed DOS-based COLI and split dollar recordkeeping software for Catalyst Systems. From 1994 to 1996, he worked as a contract programmer for American Financial Systems, developing Windows-based insurance and benefit recordkeeping software.
In 1996, Brian co-founded The Pangburn Company, a third party administration company dealing exclusively with nonqualified deferred compensation retirement plans. In 2002, he co-founded TPC Consulting, an independent provider of consulting and risk management services to financial institutions. In 2007, The Pangburn Company and TPC Consulting began operating jointly under The Pangburn Group name, and in 2011, became wholly-owned subsidiaries of The Pangburn Group.
Brian served as President of The Pangburn Company from 2002 until 2007 when he became President & CTO of The Pangburn Group. In 2012, Brian was named CEO of The Pangburn Group where he serves today, managing the organization with a continued focus on technology.

Trisha Morrison
Chief Operating Officer
Trisha graduated summa cum laude from Louisiana State University in 2000, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in business management. From 2000 until 2003 she worked in the human resources field, focusing on recruitment, retention, compensation and total rewards.
In 2003, Trisha joined Pangburn as an Account Manager, managing the ongoing administration of nonqualified benefit plans. In 2007, Trisha was named Division Manager (later Director) of Defined Contribution Recordkeeping where she played an integral role in the design and continued enhancement of Pangburn’s daily web platform. In this role, Trisha oversaw all aspects of account balance plan reporting and servicing. In 2012, Trisha was named Director of Corporate Client Relations, where she managed design, consultation, and onboarding for all corporate clients.
In 2015, Trisha was named Chief Operating Officer where she serves today, overseeing all administrative and client relations units. She also continues to consult with new clients on 409A compliance and nonqualified benefit plan design, providing insight and best practices guidance. Trisha regularly provides training and speaks on nonqualified plan topics at conferences, seminars, and webcasts.

Prasanth Pasala
Chief Financial Officer & Chief Technology Officer
Prasanth received his bachelor of science in electronics and communications from J.N.T University, India in 2000 and his master of science in systems science from Louisiana State University in 2002. He joined Pangburn in 2003 as a Software Engineer. Prasanth’s early work included rewriting much of Pangburn’s plan administration software using the Java programming language, and designing/developing an entirely new defined benefit plan recordkeeping module. In 2007, Prasanth was named Manager of the Technology Division where he spearheaded a project to develop a new web platform using J2EE technologies. He also managed projects to streamline and automate the data flow from multiple insurance carriers into Pangburn’s recordkeeping platform. In 2010, Prasanth was named Director of Software Development.
In 2013, Prasanth was named Chief Financial Officer and Chief Technology Officer where he serves today, overseeing all major software projects as well as ongoing system enhancements and changes. He works with all business units to develop and maintain a research and development strategy that aligns with the needs and goals of the entire organization.

Howard Stern, FSA, MAAA
Actuary and Consultant
Howard received his bachelor of science degree from the City University of New York in physics, and received his master of science degree from New York University in applied mathematics and statistics. From 1972- 1979, Howard served as VP and Chief Actuary of the Manhattan Life Insurance Company. From 1980-1985 Howard served as Vice President of FDP, a leading provider of illustration software to the life insurance and pension industry.
In 1985, Howard formed Howard D. Stern & Associates, Inc., a financial services organization specializing in the design, implementation, and administration of qualified and nonqualified employee benefit plans. Beginning in 1996, Howard assumed the Vice Presidency, as well as a seat on the board of directors, of American Financial Systems, Inc. There he served as an actuarial consultant for nonqualified proposal and administrative software and nonqualified case design. In 2000, Howard joined Sungard Insurance Systems as Sr. Vice President and Actuary, with responsibilities in the areas of technology and management.

Wayne A. Pangburn, CLU (08/19/1944 - 12/14/2015)
Principal & CEO Emeritus
Wayne received his bachelor of arts degree in economics from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine in 1966. Following college he served three years as an officer in the United States Army. He entered the life insurance business in Boston in 1969 with Manufacturers Life. In 1976, he joined the home office of New England Life as Director of Advanced Underwriting. He rose to the position of Vice President of Marketing before leaving the home office in 1982. He then moved his family to his wife's home state of Louisiana and began a benefits consulting practice. Working on a partnership basis with agents and brokers throughout the country he established a very successful practice dealing exclusively in the area of nonqualified fringe benefits.
In 1996, Wayne co-founded The Pangburn Company, a third party administration company dealing exclusively with nonqualified deferred compensation retirement plans. From 2007 to 2012, Wayne served as The Pangburn Group's first CEO. From 2012 until his death in December 2015, Wayne served as President & CEO Emeritus, focusing on mentoring, strategic relationships, and internal consulting. The entire staff of The Pangburn Group is committed to honor Wayne's legacy through excellence in service and continued success of the organization he co-founded.

Gregory J. Mitchell (10/26/1960 - 02/03/2013)
Principal & Chief Operating Officer
Greg received his bachelor of science degree in accounting from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1989. From 1990 to 1996, he worked for New York Life as a field agent. In 1996, Greg joined The Pangburn Company as its first Account Executive. In 2000, he was promoted to Vice President.
In 2002, Greg co-founded TPC Consulting, an independent provider of consulting and risk management services to financial institutions. In 2007, The Pangburn Company and TPC Consulting began operating jointly under The Pangburn Group name, and in 2011, became wholly-owned subsidiaries of The Pangburn Group.
From 2007 until 2013, Greg served as Chief Operating Officer of The Pangburn Group, overseeing all business process operations.
Greg passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2013. His dedication and commitment left a mark that will forever be carried on by our staff and by all who had the pleasure of working with him. He is dearly missed.

Management
Jon Ayo
Director - Account Balance Recordkeeping
Jon began his professional career with Pangburn in the early 2000’s as an intern with an initial focus on assisting management with key projects. During his internship, Jon played a vital role in development of Pangburn’s web presence in the daily online valuation market for account balance plans. Jon graduated from Louisiana State University in 2003 with a bachelor degree in Information Systems & Decision Sciences, and thereafter joined Pangburn full time as an Account Manager. In addition to his account management duties, Jon continued to assist with development of Pangburn’s web reporting technologies.
Jon’s continued involvement with large scale projects, peer assistance, and client reporting resolutions, as well as his systems expertise and client management skills culminated in promotion to Operations Manager of Defined Contribution Recordkeeping in 2007. As Operations Manager, Jon assisted with prioritization of new client servicing, system enhancement initiatives, project management, quality control, and issue resolution.
In 2012, Jon was named Director of Defined Contribution (later Account Balance) Recordkeeping where he serves today. His primary responsibilities include staff education, process standardization and efficiency, oversight of client deliverables, and software enhancement coordination.

Samantha Bergeron
Director - Asset Recordkeeping
Samantha graduated from the University of Durban South Africa with a bachelor of commerce degree and the degree of Marketing Honors. She then joined Kiwi Brands (now Sara Lee DE International) as Product Manager for the Kiwi Product line for three years before buying into a sun protection product business where she was in charge of sales, marketing and administration for ten years.
Samantha joined Pangburn in 2002 as an Account Manager, managing the ongoing administration of nonqualified benefit plans. Shortly thereafter, she headed a team focused on the consulting and implementation of financial institution-sponsored nonqualified benefit plans and insurance programs. In 2007, Samantha was named Manager of the BOLI Division.

Preston Fulco
Sr. Consultant - Financial Institution Relations
Preston graduated magna cum laude from the University of Louisiana, Monroe with a bachelor of business administration in finance. He joined Pangburn as a Plan Analyst in 2005 where he served until 2011, managing new plan setup and ongoing administration for financial institutions. Preston developed expertise in nonqualified benefit plans, insurance programs, and split dollar arrangements. Preston also assisted in the development of a new policy recordkeeping system including pre and post retirement split dollar reporting.
In 2012, Preston was named Sr. Consultant for Financial Institutions where he serves today. His primary responsibilities include new business consulting with a focus on financial institution risk assessment, nonqualified benefit plan design and implementation, pre-purchase analysis, training of staff, research of new and existing statutes and regulations, publication of findings from research, development of system enhancements, and client relations.

Dustin Gardner
Operations Manager - Account Balance Recordkeeping
After receiving a degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin, Dustin joined Pangburn in 2006 as an Account Manager focusing on client relations, compliance, and reporting for account balance plans with a secondary focus on software project development. In this capacity, Dustin administered a diverse set of nonqualified benefit plan types including 401(k) mirror plans, SERPs, phantom stock plans, split dollar arrangements, and 457(f) plans. This also provided him with experience in a variety of informal funding strategies used by plan sponsors ranging from small, individually funded mutual fund plans to large-case COLI plans utilizing an aggregate funding strategy.

Dylan Major
Director - Financial Institution Relations
Dylan began his career at Pangburn in 2004 serving as an Account Manager focusing on Bank Owned Life Insurance and NQDC Plans. Over the years, he has been instrumental in creating and modifying processes to enhance internal efficiencies leading to increased client capacity and an enhanced client experience. During his career, Dylan has been involved with every aspect of nonqualified plan implementation and administration including plan design & consulting, pre-purchase analysis, benefit reporting, compliance, and education of clients and producers.
Dylan is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Carey Patin
Director - Information Technology
After graduating from Tulane University in New Orleans in 1994, Carey spent six years in California as the primary systems administrator for a computer generated visual effects company.
In 2001, Carey returned to his home town of New Roads, Louisiana and began consulting for Pangburn with a focus on network administration and web programming. In 2004, Carey joined Pangburn full-time as a Network Administrator and Web Programmer. During his career, he has been responsible for researching, building and maintaining all of the hardware, operating systems, network infrastructure, and communication systems used throughout Pangburn’s facilities.
In 2010, Carey was promoted to Director of IT where he serves today, overseeing all information technology infrastructure for Pangburn.

Carrie Raleigh, CPA
Director - Non-Account Balance Recordkeeping
Carrie received a bachelor of science degree in mathematics education in 2003 and a master of business administration with an accounting concentration in 2006 from Southeastern Louisiana University. She worked as a staff auditor for the Office of the Louisiana Legislative Auditor from 2005 through 2007.
Carrie joined Pangburn in 2007 as an Account Manager where she was responsible for new plan setup and the ongoing recordkeeping of nonqualified benefit plans and insurance/split dollar programs for a large block of financial institution clients.
In 2012, Carrie was given the title of Director of Defined Benefit (later Non-Account Balance) Recordkeeping, where she serves today. Her primary responsibilities are to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the unit, train and mentor staff, assist with specification of system enhancements, quality control new plan setup and event reporting, develop and implement standardized operating procedures for personnel within the unit, and assist other business units regarding client and/or audit inquiries. Carrie also assists management in an internal audit function and serves as a liaison during the SSAE 16 (SOC 1) Type 2 audit, and researches accounting issues, trends, and legislation.
